Despite the never ending beefing that has had Nicki Minaj sparring with Remy Ma, Nicki has also been focusing on what propelled her into the spotlight in the first place-music. The superstar has been working very hard on her fourth studio album which is the follow-up to 2014’s “The Pinkprint.” In an interview that was just recently released with Whoo Kid, Nicki talks about the album’s direction, which appears to be a return to her roots.
Nicki said that she aims to make a “classic hip-hop album that people will never forget.” Whoo Kid got Nicki to confirm the appearances of “guaranteed homies” Lil Wayne and Drake and inquiries about whether or not Dr. Dre is on her radar.
Nicki said, “Oh wow, I never thought about that but you know what? That’s a dope idea. Of course I worked with Em on my first album, and of course, I love Em….That would be nice, that would be beautiful.”
Nicki didn’t give a release date, but it’s reassuring to know that the queen is back to focusing on music, rather than extraneous endeavors. Dre has been a little reclusive when it comes to production these days, maybe he might just come through to bliss Nicki with one of his signature bangers.
