Kanye West 58-year-old mother and manager, Dr.Donda West passed away in Los Angeles last night. Kanye was in London and immediately left for the States.
Donda served as the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University before becoming Kanye’s manager. She recently wrote a book about what it was like raising a rapper.
There are unconfirmed reports that Donda passed away from an allergic reaction to medication while getting a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. This has not been confirmed.
Kanye’s rep issued this statement: The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief.
