Just in case you guys didn’t hear, Jay Z about made history today [June 15] when he becomes the first rapper ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. Having already heard the likes of Andre 3000, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj and more voice their appreciation for Hov, the Brooklyn icon decided to repay the favor Thursday night and his respects to the legends before and after him as the inspiration for his success.
Unusual for Hov, Jay took to Twitter to thank the number of hip-hop great legends for inspiring him, including the likes of Rakim KANE, KRS, Chuck, Cube, Jay, Em, Andre, Nas, Big, Pac, Cole, Kendrick, Chance, and others. He was even brought out by former President Barack Obama.
