Bill Maher has reportedly had a relatively open relationship with the hip-hop community, by having guests such as Killer Mike, Nas, and Jay-Z on his program, who premiered his “Picasso Baby” video on the show. But now he is finding himself in hot water after using a racial slur on Friday night during a Real Time With Bill Maher’s interview, and artists are allegedly speaking out against the comedian.
Chance The Rapper, who has been very outspoken ever since he stepped onto the scene, took to social media to express his displeasure. On Twitter, he states, “Please @HBO Do Not Air Another Episode Of Real Time With Bill Maher.”
HBO will remove the segment from future airings, while calling Maher’s comments, “inexcusable and tasteless.”
