BTY Young’s has been grinding between the two lanes of streets & rapping for a few years now so he’s no one hit wonder. If you do some research you’ll quickly notice that the kid has been putting in that work. The new-Orleans rapper already has a decent following due to his “Feed Up” mixtape. While claiming his own clique “Ryda Musik“, he has a business mind to go with his street smarts as he enters the game on an independent mindset following the Master P route of selling cd’s out the trunk, at the stop lights, and in stores. Already proving that he’s willing to put his muscle behind his music he enters the game solid after selling over 24,000 physical copies of his “I Ain’t Sorry For the Wait” and “2nd Feed Up” mixtapes so it’s quite rewarding to see how the year 2016 ended for him. Not only did Birdman decide to sign the young MC but he also recently took home the NOLA Music Awards trophy for Breakout Artist of the Year. So on some boss shit, you can’t knock the kids hustle. But that’s not why I made the 2pac comparison.
On the music tip his flow varies which is a great thing, he can kick it old school rap style, new school riding the wave / future style and even jail style acapella with that beating on his chest vibe, however, the aggression mixed with wisdom that you can only get from life experiences is why I make the pace comparison. Of course, 2pac is a legend and none can truly compare but just as J. Cole made was proud, Drake made Jay Proud, I believe this kid has what it takes to make Pac proud. Even tho BTY is very street both in his music and personality he has a very crossover appeal due to his very charismatic personality and creative wordplay and deliver his message in a way that is easily understandable not forgetting his ability to create catchy hooks and on the spur of the moment slangs all of which combines for the making of a complete superstar.
Anyway, Phuc all of that. Cash Money‘s major money mogul, the Birdman himself just signed BTY Young’N to a Rich Gang record deal, so now it’s RichGang or doesn’t bang Lil bitty bit*h as BTY’s already repping RG all the way. As he likes to put it “Like Pepsi, it’s a brand name”. So far videos have already surfaced with BTY in the studio with Chris Brown and I’m sure with Birdman backing him he already has a few other big name features under his belt, so you can expect RichGang to start hitting up the charts pretty soon with some new music.The details of the deal are not quite known as yet but its clear Bird is standing strong behind this kid (#Pause) in regards to being willing to make a big financial gamble on this kid.
It’s no secret that Birdman has an eye, ear and the marketing know-how when it comes to making Superstars, and you can’t’ forget the machine that is Cash Money / Republic to back anyone that he decides has the Midas touch. Of course, like Birdman likes to put it, it’s all a gamble and sometimes you lose sometimes you win and it’s clear he’s been winning more than he’s been losing. Chances are he’s been the biggest winner in the Hip Hop industry so far according to history so all of that makes for a good bet if you wanna put some money on becoming a BTY Young’N fan.
