A source estimated that the rapper will lose about $1 million. The source assumes that Jay Z’s decision to keep his music off Spotify while making it exclusive on Tidal competitor Apple Music is a protest against the free streaming tier. Jay-Z has not given a formal statement for reason behind his decision.
