A week after Kimora Lee Simmons filed divorce papers from hip mogul and husband Russell Simmons, Russell tells Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com the timing for the divorce is good since they both have moved on, “We weren’t paying attention to it. We both have very serious relationships. I guess it’s the perfect timing. It should be a timing that is out of the media, but there it goes.”
Simmons goes on to note there was no chance of reconciliation and there are no issues regarding their children, “Everything is all good. My children are here sleeping at my house today. Tomorrow they’ll be sleeping at her house.”
The soon divorcee also sent his best wishes to the new married couple of Beyonce and Jay Z saying, “They are two people I have a great deal of admiration and respect for. I love them both seeing them get married is a perfect order. I am very happy for them.”
