“I’m just trying to get ahead and make bigger moves,” Ross said in an interview with MTV. “It’s that movement. The industry is still there. That’s what that shows.”
Ross outsold Snoop Dogg’s Ego Trippin’ and Fat Joe’s Elephant In The Room. While Ego Trippin’ debuted at #3 on the charts, its 137,000 copies sold is the lowest first-week sales total amongst the rest of Snoop’s studio albums. Elephant sold 46,000 copies, landing in the chart’s #6 spot. Ross said that possibilities for the next single include “Luxury Tax” (which features Lil Wayne, Trick Daddy, and Young Jeezy), the Jay-Z-assisted “Maybach Music,” or “All I Have In This World,” which features Mannie Fresh.
“You know, we got multiple choices right here,” he boasted. “I think it’s a decision we’re gonna make within the next week. I’m just in the clubs touching the people in the streets. These are the people I make the music for, and I’m just seeing what they are absorbing.”
