Jay-Z newly released album ‘4:44‘, which he exclusively released via Tidal. The album has already reached the peak of success. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has announced this morning that the album has been certified platinum, less than a week after it has been released. Whenever an album goes platinum, it means that the album certifies a record has been sold 1 million times, in less than a week. The number of subscribers that Tidal has is unclear but it was claimed to be three million in 2016. It has been claimed that this year the number of subscribers has been expanding due to the release of the ‘4:44’ album.
“4:44” is now Jay-Z’s 13th platinum solo studio album which is the most of any hip-hop artist in history, according to RIAA.
