Vic Mensa catapulted himself back into the eyes of the public just last week when he released a concise, engaging EP, The Manuscript, which came as a surprise. With yet another EP and album on its way, Mensa has said to hit the promotional circuit, stopping by for an interview with DJ Damage and Bootleg Kev at Real 92.3.
When Mensa was asked about the 4:44 project, he said, “It’s an important number. It’s symbolic. It means things and people will find out.” It was originally revealed that it would be a movie starring Mahershala Ali and Lupita Nyong’o, but many suspect the release will be the catalyst for some new Jigga.
On the same note, Mensa stated, “I might have heard something, a little bit,” teasing that he may or may not have heard some new Jay music. His tone, however, suggests that he definitely has. When asked if he happens to appear on any of that music, he replies with an enigmatic, “we’ll see.”
